Excellent! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a wonderful host - for starters, the restaurant is beautiful and has a beautiful ambience and the menu is absolutely delicious. The Bannock was so good, the seafood pasta is to die for and the bison spring rolls were excellent - reminded me of how we make savoury samosas in Zimbabwe. The Bison Pizza was so wonderful and our kids loved their food as well. Our server was excellent - we never felt rushed, she talked to the kids and she included them in the conversation. I can't say enough good things. An excellent choice for a family meal, rehearsal dinner, special occasion.
The atmosphere was not bright, loud and busy like most mainstream restaurants I usually go to. This was a nice change and very romantic. The food was also amazing, love the variety of more unique meats provided!
The food is always fantastic. There are many unique options. I recommend anything that includes Bison. The stew is phenomenal. Service can be a little slow, but just relax and enjoy your time here.
I really enjoyed the Honefire Grill. We stayed here during the fire evacuation in 2023. We ate here as our hotel was right beside the restaurant. The staff are all so very kind, polite, and very accommodating. I recently went back and and my review remains a 5 star. Great restaurant, I highly recommend it.
The atmosphere is great. I love being seated near the fireplace. It’s toasty. Service was great. Had to return one of the steaks because it was undercooked as per our preference. They gladly and promptly replaced it. Moreover, we got our dessert for free to compensate us. We all ordered the 8 oz Sirloin Steak and Bannock Bread Pudding for dessert. Dinner was awesome.
We took our friends out for his birthday and thought the restaurant was great. The choices on the menu were very interesting and the food was great. The birthday boy had the pizza, his wife had the pork, my wife had the salmon and I had the Bison stew! Everyone enjoyed their food so much. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this place to others.
Hey foodies!!!This is currently my favorite restaurant in the city. I've been here maybe 10 times and the food is always amazing. Their menu options aren't your typical run of the mill dishes with Bison Burger, Elk Lasagna, and also Bannock bread pudding on the dessert list. Their version of bannock with their own whipped maple butter is chef's kiss... and this is coming from a full blooded Treaty 6, Cree woman. I always try to get something different so I can see which is my fave, however; I tend to go for the steak more often. I love meat! The portions are deec and I'm always full regardless. The service has always been phenomenal and the atmosphere is moody, warm, inviting and would make for a good date. Highly recommend
They were great! Accommodated us on Valentines with no reservation. Our server, Kelly, was wonderful! The food was great and really tasty. A smaller menu, which is appreciated. Lot's of unique options like Elk, Bison and Alberta Beef. We definitely would recommend!
